چکیده
The SPEEDY block cipher family announced at the CHES 2021 shows excellent performance on hardware architectures. Due to nature of hardware-friendly design SPEEDY, algorithm has low for software implementations. In particular, 6-bit S-box and bit permutation operations are inefficient in implementations, where it performs word-wise computations. We implemented a 32-bit microcontroller first time by applying bit-slicing techniques. optimized encryption results ARM Cortex-M3 SPEEDY-5-192, SPEEDY-6-192, SPEEDY-7-192 65.7, 75.25, 85.16 clock cycles per byte (i.e., cpb), respectively. It showed better than AES-128 constant-time implementation GIFT same platform. RISC-V, 81.9, 95.5, 109.2 byte, which outperformed previous works. Finally, we conclude that can show efficient low-end embedded environments.

NESSIE is a 3-year research project (2000-2002). The goal of the project is to put forward some algorithms to obtain a set of the next generation of cryptographic primitives. In order to achieve this objective, the project needs to evaluate mathematical security levels and software/hardware implementations. This paper investigates the significance of an FPGA implementation of the block cipher M...
متن کاملSecure and efficient design of software block cipher implementations on microcontrollers
The vast diffusion of microcontrollers has led to their employment in security sensitive contexts, where the need for trusted implementations of cryptographic algorithms is paramount. These architectures are usually endowed with software and occasionally hardware implementation of ciphers, but in both cases, the price envelope is the first figure to be optimized. The vast diffusion and the tigh...

Low powered devices, such as smart phones, tablets and sensors, present a particular challenge for advanced encryption systems. In this paper, we present a new quasigroup block encryption system that has low memory and computational requirements and hence suitable for low powered devices. We compare its performance against Advanced Encryption Standard-256 (AES-256) bit algorithm using theNIST st...
متن کاملAn Efficient Block Cipher Implementation on Many-Core Graphics Processing Units
This paper presents a study on a high-performance design for a block cipher algorithm implemented on modern many-core graphics processing units (GPUs). The recent emergence of VLSI technology makes it feasible to fabricate multiple processing cores on a single chip and enables general-purpose computation on a GPU (GPGPU). The GPU strategy offers significant performance improvements for all-purp...
متن کاملEfficient FPGA Implementation of the RC4 Stream Cipher using Block RAM and Pipelining
RC4 is a popular stream cipher, which is widely used in many security protocols and standards due to its speed and flexibility. Several hardware implementations were previously suggested in the literature with the goal of improving the performance, area, or both. In this paper, a new hardware implementation of the RC4 algorithm using FPGA is proposed. The main idea of this design is the use of ...
